Bags, Footwear and Leather goods

It is with pride that Cavalinho thanks you for choosing us. All handbags, leather goods and accessories are branded and subject to a commercial warranty as per the following terms and conditions.

CAVALINHO provides a two-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects on products purchased and stored as per usage guidelines, terms and conditions, which is applicable to items bought directly and those received as gifts. This warranty is valid as of the date of purchase, as indicated on the receipt. Cavalinho reserves the right to deny warranty coverage should a receipt not be provided. Any warranty shall be limited to the price of the item on the date of purchase.

Cavalinho shall be held responsible for any quality defects that may have been caused by the manufacturing process once the item has been assessed by the brand’s Technicians.
Product maintenance or repairs shall be executed exclusively by Cavalinho while the item is still under warranty. Cavalinho shall not be held responsible for any incorrect repairs or maintenance carried out by third parties. Once the item has been inspected, Cavalinho has the right to decide on whether to repair or replace it, either with the same product of a successive product from the same line. The average timeframe within which a product is returned to a customer is 30 days.

THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

• Damage caused by wear and tear or friction;
• Items on which the fabric has been cut or pierced (by sharp or pointy objects);
• Accidents such as exposure to high temperatures, solvents, acids, water or others;
• Forced or broken clasps and zips;
• Product disfiguration due to improper storage or excess weight;
• Inappropriate usage, whether by the item’s owner or a third party, including cleaning the material incorrectly;
• Stains caused by coming into contact with materials or clothing for which the colour has run.
If the warranty cannot be applied, a quote shall be provided that covers the repair and any additional expenses.
To activate your warranty, pop into an Official Cavalinho store or that of an Authorised Seller within the period for which the warranty is valid. Product specifications may be changed without any prior notice. Cavalinho commits to making every effort to providing speedy, satisfactory solutions to meet the conditions of the warranty; however, it shall not be held responsible for instances of force majeure, such as those established by the law and in a court of law, which may prevent the warranty from being applied.

• Maintaining your handbag’s original colour. Cavalinho recommends that customers reduce any contact between Cavalinho products and materials and clothes with colours that run, and that they regularly clean product surfaces with a damp cloth and neutral soap.
• Do not use chemicals or solvents.
• Do not submerge your product in water.
• Light colours may stain easily should they come into contact with coloured materials, such as denim or others.
• Use only a dry cloth on hardware.
• Do not use water to clean leather, and do not use dye that may damage it or stain the surrounding area.
Patent Leather is a very resistant material; however, just like any other material, it requires special care in order to remain shiny and scratch-free. One of the most common issued affecting patent leather are scratches and scuff marks caused by friction. When putting your handbag, leather goods, and accessories away, make sure that any patent leather does not come into contact with other materials that may absorb or transfer colour.
As crude leather is a delicate material, it may lose density over time as a result of friction. This is a natural process which shall not be considered a manufacturing defect.
Cavalinho articles are handcrafted. As such, the pieces produced may not be identical. This may be the case for items made of fabric or other materials. Cavalinho does not consider circumstances such as these to be manufacturing defects.
Congratulations on your purchase, Cavalinho thanks you for your preference.
This item contains gilded detailing that has been varnished to further protect it. However, due to use and normal wear and tear, the original colour of the detailing may fade. As such, Cavalinho does not accept any responsibility should this happen. We thank you for your understanding.

Footwear

Thank you for choosing Cavalinho. Each item we sell is designed and produced in Portugal, and subject to detailed quality controls in order to ensure maximum quality and customer satisfaction. We provide items with the stylish details sought by people with Good Taste.

CAVALINHO provides a two-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects on products purchased and stored as per usage guidelines, terms and conditions, which is applicable to items bought directly and those received as gifts. This warranty does not cover caused by wear and tear or friction, items on which the fabric has been cut or pierced, accidents such as exposure to high temperatures, solvents, acid, water, or any other fluid, forced clasps and zips, disfigured products due to overuse, inappropriate usage by the owner or a third party, and incorrectly cleaned materials.

The following shall not be considered manufacturing defects, as they are a result of misuse and/or incorrect storage by customers:

• Worn sole or heel;
• Faded colouring or stains due to the item having come into contact with other materials (such as denim or paint, among others), stains caused by rain;
• Shoes that give or hurt a client’s feet (Cavalinho recommends that you try shoes on before buying them);
• Torn lining due to excessive force while putting them on;
• Damaged back of the shoe or any type of action that damages the shoe;
• Problems relating to odours or bad smells.
Transfer metallised materials – particularly gold and silver – may fade should they come into contact with sweat. This may also affect metal parts, on which gold and silver may fade or even oxidise for the same reason.
Glitter items are fashion items that require special care. As a delicate, fragile material, glitter may come lose as a result of friction or any impact.
Products adorned with stones are extremely delicate. Due to the nature of this footwear, Cavalinho recommends greater care is taken, as missing sequins, stones, and beads shall not be considered manufacturing defects.
Specchio (mirror) materials are delicate and may lose their shine and colour due to sweat and friction between your feet and the material. Specchio mirrored material may therefore fade. This shall not be considered a manufacturing defect.
The colour of shoes made from this material may fade due to wear, and may stain due to contact with other materials (such as denim, dye and others). Dye from NUBUCK shoes may bleed out when in contact with skin (i.e. sweat).
Patent Leather is a very resistant material; however, just like any other material, it requires special care in order to remain shiny and scratch-free. This warranty is valid as of the date indicated on the Manufacturer’s Warranty (warranty period). Cavalinho reserves the right to deny warranty coverage should a receipt not be provided. Any warranty shall be limited to the price of the item on the date of purchase.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects and does not cover damage caused by incorrect usage such as accidents, excess volumes and weights, wear due to friction, neglect, abrasion, transportation of unusual articles, exposure to high temperatures, solvents, acid, water, or any other fluid, natural wear or damage from transportation (particularly damage caused during a flight or any other transport, such as: disfigurations, broken wheels, fractures, tearing of suitcase structure, scratches, damaged areas, etc.)

In the event damage is caused during transportation, Cavalinho recommends that the situation be communicated to the company responsible (air, sea, or railway transporter) so that the suitcase may be checked, as insurance can be taken out against suitcase damages.

Product maintenance or repairs shall be executed exclusively by Cavalinho while the item is still under warranty. Cavalinho shall not be held responsible for any incorrect repairs or maintenance carried out by third parties.

To activate your warranty, pop into an Official Cavalinho store or that of an Authorised Seller within the period for which the warranty is valid.
